Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a pizza pan or a 12-inch baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, beat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup softened butter until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Add the 2 eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Stir until a soft dough comes together.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan to form a crust about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a rack.
- While the crust cools, beat together 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract until smooth and lump-free.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled crust in an even layer.
- Arrange sliced and whole fruit on top as desired.
- Slice and serve within a few hours for the best texture.

Notes
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for no more than 48 hours. If longer storage is needed, store the crust and frosting separately for up to 3 days. Assembled pizza does not freeze well.
