Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 head head of cabbage Choose from green, savoy, or red cabbage.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste none Salt
  • to taste none Pepper
Optional seasonings
  • to taste none garlic powder
  • to taste none smoked paprika
  • to taste none grated Parmesan cheese Optional, add during final roasting.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove any tough or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage.
  3. Slice the cabbage into 1-inch-thick rounds to create your steaks.
Cooking
  1. Lay the cabbage steaks out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over each side of the steaks and rub it in.
  3. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings over both sides.
  4. Roast for about 12 to 15 minutes until the edges start to brown.
  5. Carefully flip each steak and roast them for another 12 to 15 minutes until crispy and tender.
  6. If using Parmesan, sprinkle it on at this point, then return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
  7. Once finished, remove from the oven and serve hot.

Notes
