Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove any tough or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage.
- Slice the cabbage into 1-inch-thick rounds to create your steaks.
Cooking
- Lay the cabbage steaks out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over each side of the steaks and rub it in.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings over both sides.
- Roast for about 12 to 15 minutes until the edges start to brown.
- Carefully flip each steak and roast them for another 12 to 15 minutes until crispy and tender.
- If using Parmesan, sprinkle it on at this point, then return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Once finished, remove from the oven and serve hot.
