Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a rack in the middle position.
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into even sticks about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
Cooking
- In a large bowl, toss the cut fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet, leaving space for air circulation.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, then flip each fry with a spatula to ensure even browning.
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are tender.
- Remove the sheet from the oven and serve the fries hot.
