  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  3. Spread the bread cubes in an even layer in the dish, ensuring uniform size for even baking.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until completely smooth.
  5. Pour the custard over the bread and gently press the bread to absorb the liquid.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top in an even layer.
  7. Let the dish sit for 10 minutes to soak or cover and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
  1. Bake uncovered for about 40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
